"Chasing Amanda grabbed me from the beginning and never let go." Patricia Paris

"Foster weaves an intricate tale around one woman's courage and perserverance even at the risk of losing everything she holds most dear. A gripping story of deceit, secrecy, horror, and finally triumph. I will definitely search out more of this author's work."

"I've been eagerly awaiting Ms. Foster's book since the very day I finished the first one..." A. Parnell

"I certainly wasn't disappointed! I love to try to figure out who the culprit is before the end of the story but there are so many twists and turns in the plot that Melissa Foster makes that a difficult task, and keeps the cuprit well hidden. Late at night when you know you should be in bed and you tell youself you'll close the book when you get to the end of the chapter..but when you get there you just have to turn that page...you say, and THEN what happens...Menace is always lurking; the unexpectd increases, and the suspense builds. This is a book that flows beautifully, is well crafted and keeps the reader intrigued and engrossed until the very end."

I could not wait to get my hands on it after reading Megan's Way. Book Reader Extraordinaire

"This book while entirely different in nature, a mystery with a bit of parapsychology, like her other book, kept me enthralled to the very end. I thought I had solved the mystery, but, alas, I had not. Her characters are real and gripping, her plot intricate and clever. I highly recommend this book."

"Foster's second book is full of suspense, intrigue and a story that grabs you and holds on tight until you've read the final words!" Glenda A. Bixler

"You DO NOT want to miss this one! I considered this a must-read...for many reasons! Readers--you know who you are! Melissa Foster is a true storyteller, able to create strong believable characters, provide riveting suspense, and, at the same time, spotlight the major issue of child abduction. Melissa, very well done!"

"There were tears, laughter, and a little tingle of suspense and horror." Denise, Fade Into Fantasy

"Do you enjoy a good who-done-it with a touch of paranormal ability that keeps you guessing until the very end?  Then this book is for you.  I found reading this story a constant guessing game and it was very difficult for me to put down.  Every time I was sure I had it figured out, I was wrong. I felt the characters were well written and the scene well set. There were tears, laughter, and a little tingle of suspense and horror.  The synopsis of the story is pretty right on, but does not do justice to the ride"

I must say that this novel kept me up past my bedtime! Author Chloe Jon Paul

"Melissa Foster has done an exquisite job with characters and setting for "Chasing Amanda" but more importantly, she gives the reader a penetrating look into the mind of a clairvoyant...the authentic dialogue used held my undivided attention...it left me gasping in wonder at the author's superb creativity."

In "Chasing Amanda", Melissa Foster tenderly reveals a riveting story of suspense and small-town secrets. D. Guarino

"Molly is a woman who 'sees things'. When a young girl vanishes, memories of a similar tragedy come flooding back to Molly. She promises herself that she won't replicate her mistake of the past. This time she hopes to use her clairvoyance to help in the search and, in doing so, find absolution for herself. Ms. Foster's characters are of flesh and blood. She gives us people with personality and emotion, not flat, pretend characters on a page. I would never miss reading a book written by this author."

That was THE best book I have ever read. It was so well written. Flower

"I was immediately drawn in to the point that I read for 3 hours the first night. I finished it the 2nd night only putting it down long enough to use the rr and get a drink. That is an unbelievable story! It was written in such a way that it was like watching the movie in my head as I read it. Does that make sense? I absolutely loved it. The characters in the story were amazing. I thought I was following along fairly well but some parts at the end took me by surprise. AMAZING! You are a gifted writer and I can't wait to read Megan's Way. It's very exciting to share the process with you and see a book come to life and hold it in my hands. And then to actually read it and find out what the story is....I love it! Thank you for sharing it with me, Melissa."

Drew me in from the first paragraph. Rated 5 Gold Crowns and a Recommended Read by Hazel, Readers Round Table

Melissa Foster’s Chasing Amanda documents every parent’s nightmare: a child is missing from a public place where one minute she is standing with her mother and the next minute has vanished. What follows is a story of madness and mystery that drew me in from the first paragraph. The characters are fully drawn and believable. Even the most flawed person is multi-dimensional. The most heroic individual is also fighting her own demons. One woman’s nightmare is another woman’s desire and yet another woman’s wrong to right. Chasing Amanda is a tale of love, retribution, hope and betrayal. I constantly had to think again, who is the monster here? Is it a stranger? A friend? A loved one? No one? Everyone? Is Molly crazy or gifted? The plot is complex and flows from one revelation to another, dividing into seemingly unrelated quests for truth and then bending and twisting back. Ms. Foster allows the reader to see the story unfold from many points of view, but she always makes it clear who is central to the scene, whose point of view we are witnessing. These multiple vantage points offer the reader clues as well as red herrings. There is a great deal of foreshadowing, which led me to experience “Ah ha!” moments many pages after reading what turns out to be an important detail. Chasing Amanda is a page turner that will leave you breathless and can’t be put down until the final period at the end of the final sentence. This is Ms. Foster’s second novel and I look forward with great anticipation to more thrilling stories from this talented author.

Chasing Amanda, [Melissa's] newest release, captivated me just as quickly as Megan’s Way. Jeanette Stingley, Editor, Bella Online

"The plot of this story is pretty complex and Melissa untangles this story from several points of view. We see the world through Molly’s eyes, the eyes of Tracy (the little girl), the abductor, just to name a few. The story had me hooked and shocked by page 40! The characters are well written. You almost feel like you are in their minds, seeing the story through their eyes." Read Jeanette's full review and interview with Melissa.

I was just eager to keep reading and follow the trip the author was taking me on, Bloomingmirage

"I found this book very compelling. The author writes her characters so emotional and life like.  I found each character so interesting I loved how she included facts about their lives to endear them to you. I also enjoyed how the author included facts and descriptions of the town so vividly. It really allowed me to picture the scene and follow along . I love a story that I just have no idea who did the crime and this was one of those books. I was just eager to keep reading and follow the trip the author was taking me on. I loved it!"

I would recommend this book as a must read, ReadingCureAll

"Chasing Amanda is the second book from this author that I have read. I found her first book Megan's Way on Kindle and was so impressed I ordered the paperback of Chasing Amanda when it hit shelves.  I love mystery and am pretty good at figuring things out, but this author kept me guessing to the very end. I find her writing very emotional and compelling in fact it reminds me of Jodi Picoult's writing. Chasing Amanda takes place in Boyds, MD. Molly Tanner's visions haunt her from a young girls abduction she did not allow herself to get involved with nine years ago. So when another young girl goes missing she is determined not to let the past repeat it's self. By doing so she puts everything she has on the line her family, her marriage, and her own life. I was gripped from page one, the past crime leads into the current to make her interest so clear. Her visions are brought to light smoothly the authors use of imagery allows you to see things through Molly's eyes. The characters are so deep  and emotional you feel as though you know them and you get so invested. The author builds so many twists and turns I was guessing till the very end. SO I found myself routing for and hoping characters were innocent as I read on."
